The show’s composer Andrew Lloyd Webber recently sat down with BBC One to talk the origins of the Tony-winning tuner. It turns out that the musical was inspired by one his most treasured childhood reads, TS Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, written in 1939.
