Tickets are now on sale for Hand to God on Broadway. The new play by Robert Askins played off-Broadway’s Lucille Lortel Theatre earlier this year, and now heads to the Booth Theatre on the Great White Way. Performances will begin on March 12, 2015 prior to an official opening night on April 7. Moritz von Stuelpnagel will direct a cast that includes Steven Boyer and three-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch.
In Hand to God, the good children of Cypress, Texas, are taught to obey the Bible in order to evade Satan’s hand. But when students at the Christian Puppet Ministry put those teachings into practice, one devout young man’s puppet takes on a shocking personality that no one could have expected.
In addition to Boyer and Kudisch, the Broadway production will also feature Geneva Carr, Sarah Stiles and Michael Oberholtzer. All five appeared in the original MCC Theater off-Broadway production.
