Hey, you, about to drink that long-neglected quart of eggnog. At this point, that stuff is only good for patching holes in your wall. You know what’s better and safer? This week's picks! See a Jazzed-Up Chicago
January 19 and 22 at the Ambassador Theatre
How do you keep a long-running show fresh? New talent! Chicago is one show that knows how to evolve, and this time the hit musical is welcoming Tony nominee John Dossett (Gypsy, Pippin) to the clink as Billy Flynn through March 29. More good news: three days later, Charlotte d'Amboise returns as Roxie Hart for just 14 performances. Wear your best fishnets. Click for tickets!
Welcome Gentleman's Guide's New Killer
Begins January 20 at the Walter Kerr Theatre
Stop! Wait? Who? Bryce Pinkham is on hiatus from A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Relax. It’s not like the role will be filled via lottery or open mic night—ensemble member Jeff Kready is temporarily stepping in. And this ain’t Kready’s first time at the rodeo. He’s also appeared in Sunday in the Park with George, Billy Elliott and Les Miserables. For God’s sake, go! Click for tickets!
Meet Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Forefathers
Begins January 20 at the Newman Theater
Most people know Alexander Hamilton as the tragic half of America’s most famous duel and the stern face of the ten-dollar bill. Lin-Manuel Miranda (The Heights) expands upon that knowledge in his new musical, Hamilton. This “revolutionary tale of America’s fiery past" examines the life of the American icon, one that was filled with historical and personal drama. Though we’re guessing there probably wasn’t as much singing. Click for tickets!

Take School of Rock’s Entrance Exam
January 24 at the Winter Garden Theatre
School of Rock is coming to Broadway in November, and you know what that means: The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical needs child rock stars, and lots of 'em. Hopefuls should bring a resume, a picture (if available), and a song they love to sing. But let’s be clear: this is for kids ages 9-15, not youthful-looking adults who frequent Hot Topic. Your time will come.
