Rocky Horror Show Opening Night, 2000
Time is fleeting...can you believe it’s been 15 years since the hit revival of The Rocky Horror Show opened on the Great White Way? Broadway.com was on the scene to party with Tom Hewitt, Alice Ripley, Daphne Rubin-Vega and the cast on opening night. Find out what it’s like to get rice thrown in your eyes and why Jarrod Emick was forced to wear boxers.
Julia Roberts & Bradley Cooper, 2006
Back in 2006, a rising star named Julia Roberts made her Broadway debut in Three Days of Rain. OK, she's the most famous woman in the world, but you’d never know it by the way she introduced herself in her Broadway.com Audience Choice Award acceptance video. “Hi, I’m Julia.” Um yes, we know. But we really didn’t know that bright-eyed guy on the right accepting his very first award!
Good Vibrations Rehearsal, 2004
Hang ten with the cast of the short-lived Beach Boys musical Good Vibrations in this rare video from the vaults. Stars David Larsen, Jessica-Snow Wilson, Tituss Burgess and the cast only had “fun, fun, fun” for 94 performances, but the jukebox tuner lives on in this video from an early rehearsal.
Sweet Charity Rehearsal, 2005
The minute we walked in the joint, we could see Christina Applegate would nail her Broadway debut...and she did, in the 2005 revival of Sweet Charity. See her twirl and high-kick in this early rehearsal video and find out why the Tony nominee says she had “more energy and spark” than she’s ever had in her life while playing the title role.
Adam Pascal at Joe’s Pub, 2004
After playing a struggling rocker in Rent, Adam Pascal released his own album, Civilian, and tried his hand at being a real-life rock star. Check out Broadway.com’s rare live footage from a 2005 Joe’s Pub gig, mixed in with super artsy black-and-white interviews with the Tony nominee. Oh, and he also sings a kickass version of “One Song Glory.”
