A host of new faces are ready to storm the barricades, sell their hair, and do a whole lot of crying-while-belting. The Broadway revival of Les Miserables welcomes Gavin Lee as Thenardier, former ensemble member Chris McCarrell as Marius, Wallace Smith as Enjolras, Erika Henningsen as Fantine, Brennyn Lark as Eponine and Rachel Izen as Madame Thenardier on March 3. Also joining the company are Sam Chuck and Athan Sporek, who will share the roles of Petit Gervais and Gavroche, while Fabi Aguirre and Lilyna Cornell Chuck will alternate as Little Cosette and Young Eponine.
Lee received Tony and Olivier nods for his performance as Bert in Mary Poppins; he also appeared in the West End in Contact, Oklahoma!, Crazy For You and Me & My Girl. McCarrell was recently seen on screen as a Lost Boy in Peter Pan Live!; Les Miz marks his Great White Way debut. Smith’s Broadway credits include Rocky, Godspell, American Idiot, The Lion King, Hair and Ragtime. Les Miz will mark the Main Stem debuts for both Hennigsen and Lark. Izen returns to the Great White Way after appearing in Mary Poppins. She was seen on the London stage in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Lautrec and Annie. Les Miz marks the Broadway debut for Chuck, Sporek, Aguirre and Cornell.
The group joins a cast at the Imperial Theatre that includes original stars Ramin Karimloo as Jean Valjean, Will Swenson as Javert and Samantha Hill as Cosette.
