Jonathan Groff Set for Succeed
Broadway and Hamilton favorite Jonathan Groff will headline a concert of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in London on May 19. The event will take place at the Royal Festival Hall and also feature Hannah Waddingham, Clive Rowe and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. How does this fit in with Hamilton's schedule? Well, the Lin-Manuel Miranda tuner ends its acclaimed off-Broadway run on May 3 and will begin previews on the Great White Way on July 13. Still no word on whether Groff will bring his King George to the Main Stem—maybe he's also visiting the U.K. for research purposes!
Cristin Milioti & Matthew James Thomas Nab TV Roles
Once Tony nominee and former How I Met Your Mother star Cristin Milioti has been tapped to appear opposite the previously reported stage and screen star Patrick Wilson in Fargo. According to Deadline, Milioti will recur as Betsy, Lou’s (Wilson) wife in the miniseries franchise inspired by the Coen brothers film. The publication also writes that Pippin alum Matthew James Thomas will be a series regular on a new HBO pilot, working title The Devil You Know. Congrats to both!
Lenny Henry Will Emcee Oliviers
Comedian and West End alum Lenny Henry will host the 2015 Olivier Awards, the U.K.’s equivalent of the Tonys. The ceremony will take place on April 12 at the Royal Opera House—check out the nominees here.
