The complete cast is now set for Douglas Carter Beane’s Shows for Days off-Broadway. Joining the previously announced Patti LuPone, Michael Urie and Dale Soules in the Lincoln Center Theater production are Jordan Dean, Lance Coadie Williams and Zoë Winters. Performances will begin at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater on June 6. Opening night is set for June 29.
Shows For Days follows 14-year-old Car (Urie), who becomes involved in community theater in Reading, Pennsylvania at the Prometheus Theatre. The theater is led by Irene (LuPone) a woman who dedicates her life to directing, designing and starring in the group’s shows. Dean, Soules, Williams and Winters will also be featured as members of the theater troupe.
Dean returns to Lincoln Center after Cymbeline on Broadway and The New Century. He also appeared on the Great White Way in Mamma Mia!. Williams’ previous stage credits include BootyCandy, The Convert, Sucker Punch and Marcus or the Secret of Sweet. Winters appeared in Lincoln Center’s 4000 Miles, as well as Laugh, Much Ado About Nothing and An Octoroon.
