Spring has sprung, and as the weather gets warmer, marquees get brighter. Three new musicals in particular are preparing for their opening nights with already impressive crowds. Something Rotten, set to open on April 22, continues to hit a capacity in the high 90s, and as buzz develops for the original crowd-pleasing tuner, we expect its average ticket price—and gross, subsequently—to rise. Finding Neverland once again surpassed the $1 million mark with its highest capacity so far in its preview period (opening night is set for April 15). And while in a significantly smaller theater, Fun Home was just shy of reaching SRO this past week. Meanwhile, a play from the fall maintains healthy numbers as it prepared for Tony nominations later this month; The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time certainly enjoyed the spring weather with its highest gross and capacity since January.
