Anna Kendrick Inks Book Deal
Tony and Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick can add another accomplishment to her lengthy list: author. According to USA Today, the Into the Woods favorite will pen a collection of funny autobiographical essays for Touchstone. "I'd like to use this opportunity to showcase my ineptitude, pettiness and the frequency with which I embarrass myself,” said the ever adorable Kendrick in a statement. The untitled book will be out in fall 2016, but never fear if you can’t wait until then for an extended dose of Kendrick—Pitch Perfect 2 will be released on May 15!
Ciara Renée is the Lady Boss
Future Hawkgirl and Broadway alum Ciara Renée (Pippin) will make her 54 Below solo debut on May 15 in Lady Boss. In collaboration with Charlie Rosen (Broadway Big Band series), Renée will sing jazzed-up arrangements of songs from artists including Judy Garland, Whitney Houston and even Taylor Swift!
Bob Marley Bio-Musical Sets Cast
Broadway Motown alums Saycon Sengbloh, Mykal Kilgore and Crystal Joy will play Rita Marley, Stevie Wonder and Judy Mowatt, respectively, in Kwame Kwei-Armah’s Marley. Starring the previously announced Mitchell Brunings as Bob Marley, the bio-musical will run May 7 through June 4 at Center Stage in Baltimore. The cast will also include Ano Okera, Khetanya Henderson, Michael Luwoye, Susan Kelechi Watson, John Patrick Hayden, Luke Forbes, Don Guillory, Howard W. Overshown, David Heron, John-Andrew Morrison and Shayne Powell.
Damian Lewis & John Goodman Talk American Buffalo
