After appearing in the pre-Broadway engagement of Living on Love last summer, Justin Long will return to the Williamstown Theatre Festival! The stage and screen star, along with Estelle Parsons, Blair Underwood, Andre Holland, Penny Fuller, Becky Ann Baker and more have been tapped for this year’s event. They join previously announced stars including Broadway power couple Audra McDonald and Will Swenson, Cynthia Nixon and Kyra Sedgwick.
On the main stage, Oscar winner Parsons (Bonnie and Clyde), Baker (Good People), Aaron Costa Ganis, Howard W. Overshown (Julius Caesar) and Mary Wiseman (An Octoroon) will appear with Sedgwick in Off the Main Road. The production will play June 30 through July 19. This will be followed by the world premiere of Dominique Morisseau’s Paradise Blue, which will run July 22 through August 2 and star Underwood (A Streetcar Named Desire), Holland (Selma), Tony nominee De’Adre Aziza (Passing Strange) and Keith Randolph Smith (Fences). The McDonald and Swenson-led A Moon for the Misbegotten will also feature Ganis and Howard W. Overshown and is set for August 5 through August 23.
On the Nikos Stage, Long joins the cast of Legacy, which will play July 1 through July 12, and additionally stars the previously announced Jessica Hecht and Eric Bogosian. From July 15 through July 23, Fuller (Dividing the Estate) and Chris Lowell (Veronica Mars) team up with Nixon in Kinship. And finally at the Nikos, Parsons, Tony nominee Lauren Worsham (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), David Greenspan (The Royal Family), Derek Klena (The Bridges of Madison County) and Erik Lochtefeld (Metamorphoses) will all appear in the world premiere of the new musical Unknown Soldier.
