The first preview of Joshua Harmon’s Significant Other has been canceled on May 21 due to a cast member falling ill during technical rehearsals. Previews off-Broadway will now begin on May 22. Lindsay Mendez and Gideon Glick are among the cast featured in the world premiere. Directed by Trip Cullman, the Roundabout production will officially open on June 18 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.
Significant Other explores the ups and downs (mostly downs) of singledom in the city. Jordan Berman (Glick) would love to be in love, but that's easier said than done. So until he meets Mr. Right, he wards off lonely nights with his trio of close-knit girlfriends. But as singles' nights turn into bachelorette parties, Jordan finds that supporting the ones you love can be just as impossible as finding love itself.
The cast also includes Barbara Barrie, John Behlmann, Sas Goldberg, Carra Patterson and Luke Smith. Significant Other is scheduled to run through August 16.
Broadway.com customers with tickets to the canceled performance will be contacted with information on refunds or exchanges.
