Like formaldehyde? You’re in luck! Fun Home Tony nominee Sydney Lucas, Zell Steelle Morrow and Oscar Williams stopped by The View on May 28 to treat the audience with our favorite upbeat jingle for a funeral parlor: “Come to the Fun Home.” Before they bust out their moves, Michael Cerveris, also Tony-nominated for his performance, chatted with the hosts about why audiences are responding to the Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron musical. “They’re seeing themselves,” he explained. “Even though Alison [Bechdel]’s story is really specific to her life, there’s something universal about it.” Take a look at the interview and performance below, and catch Fun Home, based on Bechdel’s graphic memoir of the same name, at the Circle in the Square Theatre.
