We can see why Brian d’Arcy James' new movie Spotlight has made it into the prestigious 40th Toronto International Film Festival! The Something Rotten headliner and three-time Tony nominee stars alongside Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Tony nominees Mark Ruffalo and Stanley Tucci, as well as Tony winners Billy Crudup and Liev Schreiber, in the drama. Directed by Thomas McCarthy and written by McCarthy and Josh Singer, the movie follows The Boston Globe's "Spotlight" team, the oldest continuously operating newspaper investigative unit in the United States, and their Pulitzer Prize-winning coverage of the Massachusetts Catholic sex abuse scandal.
