Standup comedian and Saturday Night Live alum Colin Quinn's solo show Colin Quinn: The New York Story, will return to the Cherry Lane Theatre this fall. Directed by comedy icon Jerry Seinfeld, the production is scheduled to complete its current run at the off-Broadway venue on August 16. It will resume performances again on October 20.
Based on The Coloring Book, Colin Quinn: The New York Story is a satirical take on the eccentricities that make New York City the center of the universe. Quinn, who was born and raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn, explains: “I’m working my way down to the most fascinating subject: me!”
In addition to SNL, Quinn’s numerous screen credits include Remote Control, Tough Crowd, Girls and Inside Amy Schumer. On stage, he’s appeared on Broadway in Colin Quinn: An Irish Wake and Colin Quinn: Long Story Short, which was also directed by Seinfeld and nominated for a Drama Desk and an Emmy. Colin Quinn: Unconstitutional played the Cherry Lane Theatre in 2013.
