Misty Copeland is currently making a triumphant Broadway debut in On the Town, and she recently made this behind the scenes video of her preparation for the role of Ivy Smith in the musical. "I've been on stage performing professionally for half of my life, almost, so I don't often walk into a situation feeling nervous, and I did," she admitted about starting rehearsals at the Lyric Theatre and the "terrifying" prospect of singing. However, Copeland has garnered rave reviews for her performance and is truly an inspiration for us all. "Whenever I step into something that's uncomfortable or unfamiliar I grow in leaps and bounds." Copeland will remain with the revival through the end of its Broadway engagement on September 6.
