The Great White Way revival of Harold Pinter’s Old Times opens officially at the American Airlines Theatre on October 6. The cast features Oscar nominee Clive Owen in his Broadway debut, Olivier winner and two-time Tony nominee Eve Best and Kelly Reilly. Douglas Hodge directs.
To celebrate the inaugural production of the Roundabout Theatre Company’s 50th anniversary season, Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson penned this sketch of Owen, Best and Reilly as Deeley, Anna and Kate, respectively. Try not to get lost in cartoon-Clive Owen’s piercing eyes.
Happy opening to the talented trio! Now, please excuse us while we grab a brandy and try to piece together what this show is about.
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
