Oh, if we only had a cast... Wait! We do! Newcomer Sarah Lasko and stage favorite Mark A. Harmon will star as Dorothy and Professor Marvel/The Wizard, respectively, in the new North American tour of The Wizard of Oz. The touring production will launch on December 1 in Cleveland, before continuing to cities across the country and Canada.
In addition to Lasko and Harmon, The Wizard of Oz tour will also feature Shani Hadjian as the Wicked Witch of the West, Aaron Fried as Lion, Jay McGill as Tin Man, Morgan Reynolds as Scarecrow and Rachel Womble as Glinda.
Directed by Jeremy Sams, this new production of The Wizard of Oz contains the beloved Harold Arlen and E.Y. On November 17, The Wizard of Oz will be featured on Lifetime Channel's The Balancing Act as part of the second season of Broadway Balances America. Viewers will meet the stars of the tour and find out how The Wizard of Oz has been reconceived for the stage with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
