Leslie Caron, who originated the role of Lise Bouvier opposite Gene Kelly's Jerry Mulligan in the 1951 Oscar-winning film An American in Paris, took in the Tony-nominated Broadway musical version of the story on January 12. After the performance, stars Robert Fairchild (who plays Jerry) and Leanne Cope (who plays Lise) invited Caron to the stage at the Palace Theatre for a sweet tribute.
