If a bad dress rehearsal really is good luck, one of these characters may have just won that $1.5 billion Powerball. The Broadway revival of Michael Frayn’s Noises Off opens officially on January 14 at the American Airlines Theatre. The Roundabout production, directed by Jeremy Herrin, boasts a cast that includes Tony winner Andrea Martin and Smash bombshell Megan Hilty.
To celebrate, Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson penned this portrait of the cast. The hijinks-laden gang’s all there: check out Squigs’ sketchy depictions of Martin as Dotty Otley, Hilty as Brooke Ashton, Campbell Scott as Lloyd Dallas, Rob McClure as Tim Allgood, Kate Jennings Grant as Belinda Blair, Tracee Chimo as Poppy Norton-Taylor, Daniel Davis as Selsdon Mowbray, David Furr as Garry Lejeune and Jeremy Shamos as Frederick Fellowes.
Congratulations to the cast of Noises Off; may your show-within-a-show remain delightfully disastrous!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
