Tickets are now on sale for the New York premiere of Colman Domingo’s Dot, which begins performances on February 4 at off-Broadway’s Vineyard Theatre. Starring Marjorie Johnson, who played the title role in the recent world premiere at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, the production will officially open on February 23.
Dot follows Dotty, a matriarch suffering from dementia. Her three adult children gather for the holidays with more than exchanging presents on their mind and fight to balance care for their mother and for themselves. Tony winner Susan Stroman will direct the Vineyard Theatre production.
The cast will also include Finnerty Steeves, Sharon Washington, Stephen Conrad Moore, Libya V. Pugh, Colin Hanlon and Michael Rosen.
