Nicholas Le Prevost & More Board How the Other Half Loves
Olivier nominee Nicholas Le Prevost will star as Frank Foster in the previously announced West End revival of Alan Ayckbourn's How the Other Half Loves. Joining him are Tamzin Outhwaite as Teresa Phillips, Jenny Seagrove as Fiona, Jason Merrells as Bob Phillips and Matthew Cottle and Gillian Wright as William and Mary Featherstone. The Alan Strachan-helmed production will run through March 23 through June 25, with opening night set for March 31 at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
Kate Jennings Grant Joins Daniel Sunjata for Pilot
Kate Jennings Grant, who can currently be seen in the Broadway revival of Noises Off, will appear opposite the previously reported Daniel Sunjata in ABC’s pilot Notorious, according to Deadline. Also on board is J. August Richards and Aimee Teegarden. The drama explores the relationship between an attorney (Sunjata) and a television producer. Grant takes on the role of Louise, the host of the producer’s show.
HBO's Nora Ephron Doc Sets Premiere
Everything Is Copy, the previously reported Nora Ephron documentary from HBO, will premiere on March 21. The film, written and directed by Ephron’s son, Jacob Bernstein, will feature interviews with Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg, the late Mike Nichols, Tom Hanks, who starred in Ephron’s final work, Lucky Guy, on Broadway, family members and more. The documentary following the late filmmaker will also include dramatic readings of her work by Lena Dunham, Reese Witherspoon, Rita Wilson and Gaby Hoffman.
House of Cards Showrunners' Playwright Past
The magic ingredient for Netflix’s House of Cards: playwright showrunners. Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese have both been promoted to showrunner after serving as senior writer, reports Deadline. The fourth season, which marks the final season run by Beau Willimon, debuts on March 4; the drama was picked up for a fifth earlier this year. Gibon’s plays include [sic], This and Placebo, which premiered at Playwrights Horizons last year. Pugliese is the writer of Aven’U Boys, The King of Connecticut and The Talk. Willimon received an Oscar nod for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2011 for The Ides of March, based on his play Farragut North.
