The New York premiere of Colman Domingo’s Dot has extended its run at the Vineyard Theatre. The off-Broadway production, directed by Susan Stroman and starring Marjorie Johnson, will now play through March 24 instead of the previously scheduled March 20. The new play opened officially on February 23.
Dot follows Dotty (Johnson), a matriarch suffering from dementia. Her three adult children gather for the holidays with more than exchanging presents on their mind and fight to balance care for their mother and for themselves.
The cast also includes Finnerty Steeves, Sharon Washington, Stephen Conrad Moore, Libya V. Pugh, Colin Hanlon and Michael Rosen.
