Christopher Jackson & Peter Gallagher Set for Pilots
Christopher Jackson, who appears as George Washington in a Main Stem tuner you might have heard of called Hamilton, has landed a role in a CBS pilot! According to Deadline, Bull follows Dr. Jason Bull, who runs a company that studies juries to aid the development of defense strategies. Jackson will appear as former All-American lineman Chunk, a stylist who helps prep defendants for trial. Meanwhile, Tony nominee Peter Gallagher, who appeared on Broadway last season in On the Twentieth Century, has been enlisted for Cruel Intentions. Variety reports that the NBC revival will take place 15 years after the ‘90’s film and is set to be led by original star Sarah Michelle Gellar, reprising her role as the conniving Kathryn Merteuil.
Ivy Levan Tapped for Rocky Horror
Ivy Levan is the latest star enlisted for Fox's Rocky Horror remake, taking on the role of Usherette. The singer-songwriter-actress joins Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Tony nominee and original star Tim Curry as the Criminologist Narrator, Adam Lambert as Eddie, Annaleigh Ashford as Columbia, Ryan McCartan as Brad, Reeve Carney as Riff Raff, Tony winner Ben Vereen as Dr. Everett Scott, Victoria Justice as Janet, Christina Milian as Magenta and Staz Nair as Rocky. The two-hour event (not live) will air this fall on a date to be announced.
Kevin Spacey's No Longer a Studio Chief
Kevin Spacey, who as we recently reported was supposed to head up Relativity Studios alongside his Trigger Street partner Dana Brunetti, will no longer take the position. The Wrap writes that Spacey’s departure is a result of his acting commitments; he would have needed to spend 100 days of his year in the office, but he could only guarantee 30.
Rumer Willis to Headline Big Apple Hotspot
Isn't it grand? Broadway alum Rumer Willis will make her Café Carlyle debut April 5 through April 9. The Dancing with the Stars winner appeared last year on the Main Stem in Chicago. Before that,Tony winner Lena Hall will reunite with her Hedwig costar Michael C. Hall for Radiohead: Obsessed on March 19 at the legendary venue.
