There's currently “A Romantic Atmosphere," at Studio 54 as Laura Benanti and Zachary Levi lead She Loves Me. Directed by Scott Ellis and featuring a book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock, the Roundabout production will officially open on March 17.
To celebrate the Great White Way revival of the classic tale of sparring coworkers—and anonymous romantic pen pals—Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson penned this sketch. There's Benanti as Amalia, Levi as Georg, Jane Krakowski as Ilona, Byron Jennings as Mr. Maraczek, Gavin Creel as Steven Kodaly, Michael McGrath as Ladislav Sipos, Peter Bartlett as Headwaiter and Michael Fatica as Busboy.
Broadway.com wishes the She Loves Me team a happy opening...may they be dear friends from this point on!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
