Nina Arianda Tapped for Trial
Nina Arianda, who was seen on Broadway earlier this season in Fool for Love, has landed a role in Amazon's new drama series Trial. The Wrap reports that the Tony winner will appear as sharp and ambitious attorney Patty Solis-Papagian in the show, which is set to be led by Billy Bob Thornton as Billy McBride, a past-it lawyer whose professional life gets turned upside down. Arianda has also been enlisted for Stephen Frears‘ Florence Foster Jenkins, starring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant, which will be released on August 31.
Brian d’Arcy James & Jennifer Simard Set for OCC
Something Rotten!’s Brian d’Arcy James, along with Broadway.com vlogger and Disaster!’s Jennifer Simard, will announce the 66th annual Outer Critics Circle 2015-16 nominations on April 19 at the Algonquin Hotel. The Outer Critics Circle is an organization of writers covering New York theater for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond the Main Stem; the nominations are the first major Broadway/off-Broadway award nominees of the Big Apple’s theater season. The winners will be announced on May 9 with an awards ceremony scheduled for May 26 at Sardi's.

More details have been released about the upcoming Olivier Awards (the U.K.’s version of the Tonys), which will take place on April 3 at the Royal Opera House. International audiences will be able to tune in on YouTube from 5PM E.T and presenters include Vanessa Redgrave, Juliet Stevenson and Zoë Wanamaker. Three-time Tony and Oscar winner Mark Rylance, Benedict Cumberbatch and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman are just some of the big names up for trophies.
OITNB's Cast Pays Tribute to Kimmy Schmidt
The Orange Is the New Black cast recently posted this hilarious video, below, parodying Titus Andromedon’s song “Peeno Noir” from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Both shows, which feature a slew of stage faves, return to Netflix soon; Kimmy on April 15 and OITNB on June 17. We can't wait!
