Forever begins now. Broadway fave Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Tony nominee Carolee Carmello and more begin Tuck Everlasting performances on March 31. Touting Tony winner Casey Nicholaw as director and choreographer, the production officially opens on April 26 at the Broadhurst Theatre.
Based on the 1975 children's novel by Natalie Babbitt, Tuck Everlasting follows the friendship between young Winnie Foster (played by welcome newcomer Sarah Charles Lewis) and Jesse Tuck (Keenan-Bolger) and his family's secret: a magical spring that bestows eternal life upon those who drink from it.
The enchanting new tuner features music by Chris Miller, lyrics by Nathan Tysen and a book by Claudia Shear and Tim Federle. The cast also includes Tony nominee Terrence Mann, Fred Applegate, Robert Lenzi, Michael Park, Pippa Pearthree, Michael Wartella and Valerie Wright.
The story has twice been adapted for the screen, and the musical had its world premiere at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia.
