The Broadway.com staff is crazy for Culturalist, the website that lets you choose and create your own top 10 lists. Every week, we’re challenging you with a new Broadway-themed topic to rank.
National Kelli O'Hara Day (a.k.a. her birthday on April 16) will be a bittersweet celebration for theater fans this year. The 2015 Broadway.com Star of the Year will depart from her Tony-winning role as Anna in The King and I on April 17 (be sure to check out her exit interview!). It has been a landmark year for the luminous songbird since the Rodgers and Hammerstein revival bowed at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre; however, we loved this Broadway darling since way before her hoop skirt phase (although we're huge fans of that one too, obvs). Who could forget her roles as Clara in The Light in the Piazza or as Nellie in South Pacific? (Also, fun fact: O'Hara played Alexander Hamilton's lover Maria Reynolds wayyy before it was cool. You're welcome.) So which of O'Hara's roles have been your faves? Broadway.com News Reporter Ryan McPhee kicked off the Kelli-fest with his top 10!
