Proof Jon Snow's Resurrected
What happened to Jon Snow? He's alive and well and in London's West End (sorry, couldn't resist). Game of Thrones' Kit Harington officially opened in Doctor Faustus on April 25 at the Duke of York's Theatre. Hopefully this is just the start of his return to the boards; Harington kicked off his career in the theater and was the original Albert Narracott in War Horse. Next stop Broadway? We promise not to quiz you, Mr. Harington, about iron thrones, impending winter weather, or if you're really dead.

Hamilton Takes Top Honors for BC/EFA
The 30th Easter Bonnet Competition raised a record-breaking $5,525,568 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The annual event, which took place on April 25 and 26, marked the culmination of fundraising efforts of Broadway, off-Broadway and touring productions. Musical juggernaut Hamilton came out on top, raising the most money of any show with $516,029. The competition featured 17 handmade bonnets by members of the Broadway community and skits involving more than 230 performers in New York. An American in Paris won for their bonnet design, while the cast of Hamilton received top honors for their performance: a Hamilton-style retelling of Sweeney Todd penned by (who else?) Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Brían F. O’Byrne & Patina Miller Set for Mercy Street
Tony winners Brían F. O’Byrne and Patina Miller, as well as Tony nominee Bryce Pinkham, have been added to the lineup for season two of PBS’ Mercy Street. O’Byrne will play Allan Pinkerton, head of the Union Intelligence Service, with Miller as Charlotte Jenkins, a black Northern abolitionist and former slave, and Pinkham Maj. Clayton McBurney III, the new hospital chief. The returning ensemble cast includes Tony winner Donna Murphy and Broadway alum Josh Radnor.

Robert Cuccioli to Lead Paint Your Wagon 'Revisal'
Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli, Kendra Kassebaum, Justin Gregory Lopez and more have been tapped for a new “revisal” of Lerner and Loewe’s Paint Your Wagon. Directed by David Armstrong and featuring a new book adaptation by Jon Marans, the mythic Western will run at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre June 5 through June 25.

Danai Gurira & More to Receive Lilly Awards
Playwright Danai Gurira (Eclipsed), director Kate Whoriskey, actors Mia Katigbak and Martha Plimpton, and more will be honored at this year’s 7th Annual Lilly Awards Ceremony. The event, which celebrates women of distinction in the American Theater, is scheduled to take place on May 23 at the Signature Theatre.

Danielle Brooks on Life-Changing Purple
The Color Purple's Danielle Brooks stopped by The Daily Show on April 25 and revealed that the musical's original production was the first Broadway show she ever saw. "It really has changed my life," said Brooks. "It made me want to go study for it, so I ended up going to school in New York for theater and ten years later here I am."
