Alisan Porter, who starred in the 2006 Broadway revival of A Chorus Line, won season ten of NBC's talent competition The Voice. The stage and screen vet's win was a big triumph for pop diva Christina Aguilera, who became the first female to coach a contestant to victory.
Porter played Bebe in the revival of A Chorus Line, a role first played by her mother on the show's national tour. She had her first taste of fame as a spunky child star in the 1991 film Curly Sue and was also seen on stage in the Los Angeles musical The Ten Commandments opposite fellow reality competition star Adam Lambert.
While she was preparing to made her Broadway debut in A Chorus Line, Broadway.com profiled Porter in the interview below, in which she reveals her journey to the stage. Congrats Alisan!
