Stage & Screen Cred: Covington is making her Broadway debut in the Tony-winning revival of The Color Purple. Her other stage credits include the role of Effie in the national tour of Dreamgirls as well as the national tours of Motown the Musical, The Book of Mormon and Ain’t Misbehavin’. She has numerous national voiceover credits, and in 2014, she released the get-stuck-in-your-head good single “Life Feels Good Right Now.”
