We could just see her as Khaleesi in the musical stage adaptation. Can someone get on this please?
Mo Rocca Set for White Rabbit Red Rabbit
Mo Rocca (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) will take the leap in White Rabbit Red Rabbit off-Broadway. The Emmy-winning writer, CBS Sunday Morning correspondent, author, actor and presidential historian has been enlisted to headline the production on election eve, November 7. The New York premiere of Nassim Soleimanpour’s solo show, which involves a different actor every performance seeing the script for the first time just before they go on stage, is playing Monday nights at the Westside Theatre.
A Reworked Found Heads to Philly
New musical comedy Found, which ran off-Broadway in 2014, is heading to Philadelphia for a reconceived production. Directed by Lee Overtree with choreography by Connor Gallagher, the ensemble cast will feature recent #LiveatFive guest Molly Pope, along with Christina Anthony, Andrew Call, Alysha Deslorieux, F. Michael Haynie, Erika Henningsen, Juwan Crawley, Orville Mendoza, Sandy Rustin and Graham Stevens. With a book by Hunter Bell and Lee Overtree and music and original lyrics by Eli Bolin, the tuner is scheduled to play November 9 through December 11 at Philadelphia Theatre Company’s Suzanne Roberts Theatre. Stacy Keach Enlisted for Blue Bloods
Broadway vet Stacy Keach is set to guest star as a Cardinal in an upcoming episode of Blue Bloods. His character is described as a "high-ranking Catholic cleric, an imposing and authoritative man accustomed to wielding great power." The show airs on Fridays on CBS at 10PM.
White House Talent Tapped for Sweeney Todd
Former White House Executive Pastry Chef William “Bill” Yosses will serve as official pie maker throughout the New York run of Tooting Arts Club’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Directed by Bill Buckhurst, the previously announced production of the Stephen Sondheim classic will begin previews on February 14, 2017 and officially open on March 1 at the Barrow Street Theatre, which is being turned into a working pie-shop for the engagement.
