The Broadway revival of William Finn and James Lapine’s Falsettos opens officially at the Walter Kerr Theatre on October 27. To celebrate the Lapine-helmed production’s big night, Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson created this portrait of the cast.
The whole tight-knit family’s there! Pictured in the sketch (from left to right) are a knife-wielding Stephanie J. Block as a mid-breaking down Trina, Brandon Uranowitz as Mendel, Christian Borle as Marvin, Anthony Rosenthal as Jason, Betsy Wolfe as Cordelia (holding her kosher hors d’oeuvres), Tracie Thoms as Dr. Charlotte and Andrew Rannells as Whizzer.
Broadway.com wishes the whole Falsettos family a happy Broadway opening. May you hit a home run!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
