Blair Brown, the Tony-winning actress currently appearing on Broadway in The Parisian Woman, has booked a new gig, co-starring in the upcoming New York premiere production of Tony and Pulitzer winner Tracy Letts' Mary Page Marlowe. Lila Neugebauer directs the play, slated to begin previews on June 19 at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre with an opening set for on July 12. Brown joins previously announced stars Tatiana Maslany, Susan Pourfar and Emma Geer. The foursome is among six actresses who will portray the title character at different points in her life.
Blair Brown is a Tony winner for Copenhagen who has also been seen on Broadway in James Joyce's The Dead, Cabaret, Arcadia, The Secret Rapture and Threepenny Opera. Her off-Broadway credits include On the Shore of the Wide World, Nikolai and the Others, The Clean House, Humble Boy and The Comedy of Errors.
Mary Page Marlowe centers on a seemingly ordinary accountant from Ohio who has experienced pain and joy, success and failure. Additional casting for the off-Broadway production will be announced at a later date.
