Full casting has been announced for the upcoming Encores! staging of Jerry Herman and Michael Stewart's 1974 Tony-nominated musical Mack and Mabel. The previously announced production will run from February 19-23 at New York City Center.
Newly announced cast members include Tony nominee Lilli Cooper (Tootsie) as Lottie Ames, Tony nominee Michael Berresse (The Cher Show) as William Desmond Taylor, Major Attaway (Aladdin) as Fatty Arbuckle, Ben Fankhauser (Newsies) as Frank Wyman, Jordan Gelber (Avenue Q) as Mr. Kessel, Evan Kasprzak (Cats) as Freddy, Raymond J. Lee (Groundhog Day) as Andy, Kevin Ligon (Hello, Dolly!) as Eddie, Janet Noh (Fresh Off the Boat) as Ella and Allen Lewis Rickman (Relatively Speaking) as Mr. Bauman.
They join the previously announced Douglas Sills as Mack Sennett and Alexandra Socha as Mabel Normand.
A love letter to the silent film era, the musical follows the romantic entanglements of pioneering movie producer Mack Sennett (Sills) and comedian Mabel Normand (Socha).
Mack & Mabel will be directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes.
