Tony Goldwyn returns to Broadway on January 5, stepping into the role of Henry Wilcox in Matthew Lopez's two-part drama The Inheritance. Goldwyn assumes the role for a four-month limited run while original cast member John Benjamin Hickey begins directing the upcoming revival of Plaza Suite.
Most known for his turn as Fitzgerald Grant on TV's Scandal, Goldwyn was recently seen on Broadway as Max Schumacher in Network. His stage credits also include main-stem turns in Promises, Promises and Holiday.
A modern adaptation of E.M. Forster's novel Howards End, The Inheritance gives a panoramic view of gay life in New York City today, a generation after the height of the AIDS crisis. The production is directed by Stephen Daldry.
