Stage stars Orfeh and Michael McElroy have been added to the lineup of performers for Take Me to the World, a Stephen Sondheim tribute concert headlined by Emmy nominee Tituss Burgess. The event will take place at Carnegie Hall on February 1 at 8:00pm.
Most recently seen on Broadway as Kit De Luca in Pretty Woman: The Musical, Orfeh earned a Tony nomination for her performance as Paulette in Legally Blonde: The Musical. McElroy, recipient of a 2019 Tony Honor For Excellence in Theatre as part of the Broadway Inspirational Voices, was Tony-nominated for his turn as Jim in Deaf West's revival of Big River.
Take Me to the World will focus on the music of Sondheim and its singular impact on Burgess' life and artistic trajectory. Burgess is a four-time Emmy nominee for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt; his Broadway credits include Jersey Boys, The Little Mermaid, Guys and Dolls and Good Vibrations.
Orfeh and McElroy join a previously announced slate of stars that includes Tony winners Jane Krakowski (Burgess' Kimmy Schmidt co-star) and Lillias White. The concert will feature direction by Gabriel Vega and music direction by Charlie Rosen.
