A Soldier's Play, Charles Fuller's 1982 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama about a sergeant's murder and the sacrifices of being black and in uniform, opens on Broadway January 21. While Fuller became the second African-American playwright to be honored by the Pulitzer committee for drama, this year's production from Roundabout Theater Company marks the play's (and Fuller's) Broadway debut. With direction from Tony winner Kenny Leon, A Soldier's Play stars three-time Tony nominee David Alan Grier, two-time Golden Globe nominee Blair Underwood and three-time Broadway alum Jerry O'Connell.
