Laura Linney may be alone during the entirety of My Name Is Lucy Barton but she was not alone on the opening night red carpet. The one-woman show opened on Broadway on January 15, at the Samuel J Friedman Theatre. The play, based on the Elizabeth Strout novel of the same name, is about a woman who wakes up after a surgery to find her estranged mother at the foot of her bed. Linney plays all of the characters. On the red carpet, Linney smiled and posed alongside Strout and play adaptor Rona Munro. Also in attendance were actors Linney's The Little Foxes co-star Cynthia Nixon, Tony winner Janet McTeer, and designer Christian Siriano, who created Linney's dress for the occasion. See photos of the red carpet below. My Name Is Lucy Barton, directed by Richard Eyre, is playing a limited engagement until February 29.
