Audiences of The View were already moved by the Martin Luther King Jr. Day appearance of the Cardinal Shehan School community and Krieger Schechter Day School choirs. The celebratory performance, brought together by seventh-grader Harrison Fribush, was meant to honor MLK by bringing an all-black and all-Jewish school choir together. The children sang Diana Ross' "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)" and John Lennon's "Imagine," but Billy Porter's surprise appearance during the final number made the performance even more moving.
