The music of Tina Turner has been pulsing through the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre since Tina—The Tina Turner Musical began performances back in October. The bio-musical about the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll was a strong seller back then and continues to perform well at the box office today, even at a time of the year when shows' grosses grow more modest. In the past week, Tina posted a box office receipt of $1,643,762.00, an increase from the prior week's intake of $1,572,756.00, playing to audiences at 99.39% capacity, up from the previous week's capacity of 98.77%. With performance like this, we have no doubt the tunes of Turner will be heard on Broadway for many years to come.
