Following sellout runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Bush Theatre, Baby Reindeer, the new solo show written and performed by Richard Gadd, will transfer to the West End's Ambassadors Theatre this spring. Olivier winner Jon Brittain will repeat his work as director of the production, which will run in London from April 2 through May 2 ahead of an engagement across the pond at Brooklyn Academy of Music from May 21 through June 13.
"Baby Reindeer has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my life. With an incredible team behind me, I have pushed myself to ridiculous limits in a show I find incredibly hard to say and do," Gadd said in a statement. "I feel a moral duty to let people know the terrifying reality of going through something like this."
Based on the true story of Gadd's relationship with his stalker, Baby Reindeer paints a brutally honest portrait of two people trapped by toxic ideas of gender, sexuality, power and abuse—driven well past their breaking points.
The production features scenic design by Cecilia Carey, lighting design by Peter Small, sound design by Keegan Curran and video design by Ben Bull.
