The cast and creatives of Roundabout Theatre Company's new off-Broadway production of 72 Miles to Go... posed for pictures with the press on January 23. Written by Hilary Bettis and directed by Obie winner Jo Bonney, 72 Miles to Go... tells the story of a recently deported mother in Nogales, Mexico and the painstaking distance between her and her family in Arizona. Bringing the personal drama of immigration to the stage, Bettis' play marks only the second offering by a playwright of color to be produced at Roundabout's off-Broadway theater in 10 years. Bettis was a staff writer on the FX television show The Americans. 72 Miles to Go... features Elena Ramirez, Tyler Alvarez, Jacqueline Guillena, Bobby Moreno and Triney Sandoval. 72 Miles to Go... begins performances at Roundabout's Laura Pels Theatre on February 13, opens on March 10 and runs until May 3.
