The fresh Broadway revival of West Side Story is nearing hit status, and it hasn't even reached opening night. The exciting new take on the classic musical from director Ivo van Hove has performed well with audiences since previews began, and this past week it posted a strong gross of $1,590,210.50, packing the Broadway Theatre to 100% capacity. While the production has experienced some unanticipated speed bumps since the start of its run, this new staging remains a must-see for audiences. West Side Story doesn't officially open on February 20, but with strong buzz and well-sold houses, the time to book tickets for this unique production is now.
