David Jeffery Makes Broadway Debut as Connor Murphy in Dear Evan Hansen

David Jeffery, a rising star who has been part of the Toronto and touring companies of Dear Evan Hansen, takes over the role of Connor Murphy in the Broadway production beginning on February 11. Longtime star Alex Boniello played his final performance in the role on January 26; understudy Dan Macke has played the role in the interim.

Dear Evan Hansen marks Jeffery's first Broadway credit. He recently understudied the roles of Connor Murphy, Evan Hansen and Jared Kleinman on the musical's national tour. Born and raised in Alberta, Canada, his regional credits include Rent, Spring Awakening, Next to Normal and Newsies.

Jeffery joins a current cast that includes Jordan Fisher as Evan Hansen, Tony nominee Christiane Noll as Cynthia Murphy, Jessica Phillips as Heidi Hansen, Ivan Hernandez as Larry Murphy, Jared Goldsmith as Jared Kleinman, Gabrielle Carrubba as Zoe Murphy and Phoebe Koyabe as Alana Beck.
