Tickets are now on sale for Drift, a new play by William Francis Hoffman set to make its world premiere at New World Stages this spring. Bobby Moresco, an Oscar-winning screenwriter of Crash, will direct the off-Broadway production, set to begin previews on February 29 and open on March 16. Emmy winner Joe Pantoliano will star.
Set in the blue collar, urban landscape of the 1950s, Drift is described as a hard-hitting new drama where secrets come to a head, difficult choices must be made and devastating consequences must be faced.
Known for his Emmy-winning turn as Ralph Cifaretto on HBO's The Sopranos, Pantoliano made his Broadway debut in 2003 as Johnny in Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. In 2016, he made an off-Broadway appearance in White Rabbit Red Rabbit.
In addition to Pantoliano, the cast of Drift will include Patrick Brennan, Richard R. Henry, Alex Mickiewicz and Griffin Osborne.
The production will feature scenic design by Edward T. Morris, costume design by Gina Ruiz, lighting design by Emily Clarkson, sound design by Sean Hagerty and original music by Rolfe Kent.
