Idina Menzel will be in good company at Sunday's Academy Awards. Nine additional women who have voiced the role of Frozen 2's Elsa will join the Tony-winning star for a performance of the Oscar-nommed showstopper "Into the Unknown."
Joining Menzel for the previously announced performance will be Willemijn Verkaik (voice of Elsa on the film's Germany release, also a former Elphaba of Wicked), Maria Lucia Heiberg Rosenberg (Denmark), Lisa Stokke (Norway), Takako Matsu (Japan), Carmen Garcia Saenz (Latin America), Kasia Łaska (Poland), Anna Buturlina (Russia), Gisela (Spain) and Gam Wichayanee (Thailand). They'll sing out alongside Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora, of the song's original track.
Penned by Oscar winners Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, "Into the Unknown" is nominated in the Best Original Song category. The 2020 Oscars will be held on February 9 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles; the ceremony will be televised live on ABC.
