Audiences now have more chances to catch the new musical Darling Grenadine. An extension has been scheduled for the sold-out production at Roundabout Underground's Black Box Theatre. Originally announced to run through March 15, the production will now conclude its limited engagement on March 22.
Featuring a book and score by Daniel Zaitchik, Darling Grenadine unfolds as charismatic songwriter Harry falls for clever chorus girl Louise. But what happens when the sparkling fantasy begins to dissolve? Darling Grenadine navigates the tension between romance and reality, light and dark, bitter and sweet.
The cast is led by Adam Kantor as Harry and Emily Walton as Louise, with Jay Armstrong Johnson as Paul, Aury Krebs as Woman, Matt Dallal as Man and Mike Nappi as The Street Musician.
Darling Grenadine began previews on January 16 and officially opened on February 10.
