Patti Murin has left Frozen but she is about to step into something more exciting: motherhood. Murin and her husband, fellow actor Colin Donnell, are expecting their first child in July, a baby girl, according to PEOPLE. On Instagram, Murin confirmed the news.
Murin is 17-and-a-half weeks along. The news is a long-awaited one for the couple. Just before Murin was cast in Frozen, she found out she was pregnant and was about to walk away from the musical. But at eight weeks, she had a miscarriage. Murin tells PEOPLE that was why she kept the news secret, until the couple saw the baby's heartbeat at the eight-week ultrasound. "We cried,” Murin told PEOPLE. “It was a complete relief. Like, all that fear just evaporated.”
Donnell and Murin met in 2013 when they both starred in a musical adaptation of William Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost at the off-Broadway Public Theater. They were married in 2015. Donnell recently left the NBC television show Chicago Med. Murin originated the role of Princess Anna in Frozen on Broadway. The two recently filmed a Hallmark movie together called Love in Iceland, which will air on February 18.
