Something's Coming! Get a First Look at the New West Side Story Revival

Something's coming, something good. The photos for the anticipated revival of West Side Story have been released, and it seems the Stephen Sondheim, Arthur Laurents and Leonard Bernstein classic musical have been given a modern upgrade. Gone are the full-skirted frocks and in are sparkly mini-dresses. Directed by Ivo van Hove, the new revival of the classic musical about star-crossed lovers caught in the middle of a gang conflict features large-scale projections and new, modern choreography by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. It stars Isaac Powell as Tony and Broadway newcomer Shereen Pimentel as Maria, and it features 33 Broadway debuts. West Side Story opens at the Broadway Theatre on February 20.  See photos from the new production below.
