Earlier this month, Tony-nominated director Alex Timbers had the rare honor of being an artist with three musicals running at the same time on Broadway. He's the director of the best-selling musicals Moulin Rouge! The Musical and Beetlejuice, plus he was a production consultant on David Byrne's American Utopia (which closed on February 16, but will return later this year). To celebrate, the producers of those three shows hosted an event in Timbers' honor on February 21 at Bea restaurant. Among those in attendence were Byrne, Beetlejuice's Kerry Butler and John Mulaney (who Timbers directed in Oh, Hello on Broadway and in the Netflix comedy special John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous).
